I don’t know when Apple’s iPhone will officially launch in Germany (I know a few people who bought one in the US to get their hands on it early). Apparently, an official ship date hasn’t been set yet.

The good thing about *camps, though, is you can start organizing one even when you don’t have a clear date yet: iPhoneDevCampGermany

Dojo Offline Toolkit

Sunday, January 7th, 2007

Brad just announced he’s working on a new project: The Dojo Offline Toolkit

What is the Dojo Offline Toolkit?

The Dojo Offline Toolkit will be a small, cross-platform, generic download that enables web applications to work offline.

There was a brief presentation on the Dojo Framework last January at Web Monday Cologne. Maybe next time Brad is in or near Germany, we can arrange for him to stop by one of the Web Monday meetings and give an exclusive follow-up?

FF2 is slow

Monday, November 20th, 2006

I upgraded to Firefox 2.0 the other day and it’s beyond slow. Pages that take under a second to load in Safari take up to 30 seconds to load in Firefox.

It seemed ok at first but then it kept crashing repeatedly for no reason and has been slow ever since.

Anyway, it’s driving me nuts. Ugh!
