Kettleman City, CA

Friday, June 16th, 2006

Two double-doubles animal style with fries and one large drink. The usual. This healthy dose of burger goodness is especially important tonight as I’m sure I will need all my strength at Tony Tourney tomorrow, an annual neighborhood horseshoe pitching tournament in Inglewood. Obviously, the goal is to suck less than last year, though the competition will be fierce as always. Let the games begin!

Off to L.A.

Nothing like driving down to Los Angeles at night, ETA 8am.

Destination Germany

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

I will be going on a trip to Germany this summer (June 29 - July 11) to visit my family. As it happens, this is the week of the soccer world cup final (and also the two semi-finals and the four quarter-finals). Lucky me! If the weather plays along and Germany makes it past the second round (however hard that may be, though) I’m sure it will be super fun.

Let me know if you want to meet for drinks.

I plan to conduct a few interviews about Germany 2.0 (phone, online or face-to-face). Just ping me if you’re curious.

Back in San José

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

It’s been a great trip to Europe. Lots of interesting places, new sights and sounds, dead stones, great art, and outstanding food. Some photos over at Flickr.

Now that I’m back, it’s time to catch up on some of the things that have been going on while I was gone. For instance, the first German web app this year to score a review on Techcrunch is Mabber. Congrats! And Web Monday continued to spread in Germany in February with three well-attended meetings in Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin.

Anyway, good to be back!

Off to Seville, Spain

Granada has been one of my favorite places ever since I first came here in 1994. El Ladrón de Agua proved to be a very nice plazeaccomodation, too.

Next stop Seville.
